My wife and I booked in advance as we knew we would need a break from the road that evening. We were greeted and sent to our room. Upon opening our room door we were greeted with a foul stench and dog hair. We closed the door and returned to the desk sure that the room had not yet been serviced. It had. We were quickly reminded by the front desk of the Quality Inn pet policy "Well, we ARE a dog friendly motel!" We didn't need the reminder. At this point we really just wanted a refund and we would take our chances elsewhere. but there are NO REFUNDS once you reserve. Now we know why. Walking down the hall to our room was horrendous due to all of the air conditioners exhausting extremely hot air into the indoor hallway. Yup. Our new room smelled. well, a bit musty. The light switch did not work so we located a lamp. The room was hot so we were anxious to get the air conditioner going only to find out that it was already running on high at the coolest temp. The bathtub was yellowed and old the caulking was moldy and missing in places. Only weak (light) coffee was offered in room with a coffee pot. The reception area of the hotel could use a good scrubbing especially the tile floor. Needless to say the stay was miserable and we have permanently crossed off the "Quality Inn" from our list of potential places to stay in the future.
