"High price, Lower quality."
Overall Score3.0/ 5
I have been staying at this hotel for the past 19 years when traveling to Lewiston. The staff have always been extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. Up until the past two or three years, the condition of the hotel has also been of higher quality. But the last three times I have stayed here, I have noticed the age and wear of the building have been dramatically neglected. The balcony on the third floor room I had, was broken, wood split and paint gone. It seemed extremely unsafe. Although the room was somewhat clean, this last stay I noticed the grout around the tub was cracked with open gaps between the tub and the wall. The tub appeared dirty, but it was because of the yellowing of age. I dropped something on the floor and when I reached down to retrieve it, I saw that the floor under the bathroom counter had not even been swept, let alone mopped. The ceilings and walls are paper thin. If you want a decent nights sleep do not get a room on the first, or second floors, or near the pool. You can hear every sound above you, even when someone uses the restroom. I was so disappointed in my last stay as I love the location and the people working here, but the cost of the rooms continues to increase (highest now in the area) but the overall quality of the condition of the hotel has decreased.
