I stayed overnight for a concert and upon showing up to the hotel four hours before the show was to begin, we had to wait 20 minutes for the attendant to get back to the front desk to check us into our rooms, which he did with a young kid in his pajamas behind the desk who was following him around. He was nice enough at least, but when I got to my non smoking room, I saw holes in the walls poorly filled in, what looked to be stains of red wine on the walls, cigarette holes in the blankets, burn marks on the dressers and a thick smell of cigarettes. Did I mention I have asthma? So after unpacking my stuff and also noticing the bathroom was also disgusting which they tried to mask with a paper notice on the toilet reading “this toilet is sanitized for your safety” on it I decided that was too much and I repacked my bag, walked downstairs past the stained carpets and hallway rich with all sorts of exotic smells, I was met with an old man standing behind the desk to which I politely explained that my room smelled really badly and if it was possibly, I’d appreciate if he could have my room switched to which he replied “I’m not on duty. The other guy will be back in 10 minutes” After 10 minutes of waiting around, I came back to the front desk and asked the gentleman again and he once again responded with, “wait 10 minutes”. I explained that we were in a little bit of a time crunch and I’d appreciate if he could help me. After once again telling me he wasn’t working and that the other guy would be right back, I asked him where he was at, to which he replied “going up to pick up his wife”. So after leaving the venue and coming back to a terrible hotel, with yet another attendant, I asked if any rooms were available. This girl was genuinely helpful and she told me she was sorry but they were all filled up. She then went up to my room, after asking permission, to spray some deodorizer which helped me get through the night a little better with the window open. Overall I didn’t know a customer experience could be this bad. When you think about what you want for your money in a hotel you think of comfort, cleanliness and kind service. I got none of those things. Some positives I definitely noticed though was the kind night attendant that helped me out, the relatively updated TVs and the hot water that the shower had. Very nice. Aside from that, I can’t say much good though, wouldn’t recommend at all. I will go out of my way not to go back.
