"Worst hotel experience I've ever had."

We stayed here from November three 8, 2020. When I book a hotel, I look for quality, cleanliness and good service. All three were a major disappointment. We found blood on our bedding three times. The first morning, we found blood on our blanket. Another night, after having housekeeping come change our sheets, I found a golf ball sized spot of blood on a pillow. We also found blood on the mattress pads of both beds. It was someone else's blood, because it wasn't on the sheets or pillow case, just under them. Knowing my toddler and infant slept on top of someone else's bodily fluids is completely disgusting. Breakfast was not hot, had very little protein and was the same pre packaged items all five mornings. The pool was closed for the first few days. When it did open, the bathroom was out of order and there were no towels. Every time we needed assistance (which was often, given the dirty state of the room), we had to wait at the front desk for several minutes. No one was at the front desk. The employees seemed to enjoy sitting in the back room and watching videos on their phones. I saw the general manager's phone playing videos on her desk while many things in the hotel needed attention, including the guests. There were at least two days we asked housekeeping to come change our trash and they did not. Every night our room keys would stop working because the front desk employees didn't program them to work for the entirety of our stay. When I asked the employees for assistance with these issues, the general impression I got from them was that they didn't care. Even the general manager was very slow to apologize or assist me and my family. The only employee who took action was Makayla, the front desk manager. I am grateful for her help. She changed our bedding herself twice and she was very apologetic. I will never stay at a Hampton again, especially this one. Although they did discount our bill, I would rather pay full price and have a clean room and decent customer service. If you can stay anywhere else, do it. Do not stay here.
