The Holiday Inn Dover is a full service hotel located off main road next to a Kmart store. Upon entering noted the lobby is a little small, does have a sitting area, lounge/restaurant to the right and desk to the left. Hotel looks newly renovated and found in 2009 had a full overhaul from a Howard Johnson. The lobby restaurant services breakfast daily and dinner every night except for Sunday. Once you go past the front desk towards the elevators is the meeting space at 2400 square feet, board room with the entrance inside the business center. The hotel does offers over 25 pages of fantastic catering menus to choose from for your event! Once on-site you can enjoy an outdoor pool, laundry facilities, dry cleaning services (sent off property), room service, business and small fitness center, comp WIFI, local and 800 calls and 3-pet friendly rooms. There are 3 exterior entrances located around the building with key card access only to help with the longer hallways. Guest room amenities include the soft/firm pillows, one cup coffee makers, microwaves and refrigerators available upon request. This hotel is also a stop for the Dover Downs Casino shuttle on the weekends beginning at 4:00pm. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler whether a business meeting or any leisure group especially family reunions, weddings or sports teams.

We thought we’d be happy to stay at a pet friendly recently remodeled Wyndham. However when we got to our room on the ground floor the windows were unlocked. The room smelled like mold and Lysol. The room felt damp. The air conditioner was off and made a great deal of noise whenever it came on. (All night long) We will not be staying at this location again… very disappointed.

This hotel is gross. Right from the moment you pull into the parking lot the disappointment begins. The hotel smells, the carpets are old and disgusting, the doors are even gross. The lobby is run down and not inviting. I do not recommend this hotel.

The Holiday Inn in Downtown Dover is a substandard facility. The rooms have a funny musty smell; the hot and cold water are reversed in the showers; the refrigerator in my room made a loud, troubling ticking sound; one side of the building is unlit, feels unsafe and reeks of cannabis smoke. Finally, there is no sign on the building, only a small roadside sign and if you miss that sign you will drive by the hotel. The staff was impeccable given the meager facilities. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, it needs A LOT of work and feel as though I paid more than a stay at this hotel was worth.

There was a homeless man sleeping on the couch in the lobby when I arrived. Signs outside said park at your own risk. drawers in room did not close, curtains were ripped, lightbulbs in lights were different colors and lamp was crooked. Couch in the room was worm down. Flusher was broken on toilet and the plug in the bathtub did not work.

The young women who checked us in was wonderful with information and was kind. The room was clean the bed was quite comfortable. The young women who tended the bar was fantastic her names was KEKE she was warm and made excellent drinks. I would stay again.

Upon check in we were rikd the pool is outbof service we qere not roldnon the swevation and thatbwas rhe first thing I asked when reserved if the pool was open.
