This hotel is a little beat up but clean. I see new management that appears to be a family. I see renovations happening. The room we were in was not yet renovated but very comfortable and clean. The furniture was kinda neat up and the bathroom needed some new fixtures but everything functional. We were pleased to find an excellent pub Kelly's Corner within walking distance that has excellent food.
This Motel 6 is very rundown, dingy and grimy. Hallways filled with water from air conditioners. Dirty stairways. We walked into our room and were suffocated by the pungent smell of cigarette/marihuana impregnated in the walls, curtains and every corner of the space (and it was a non smoking room). Some parts of the floor were sticky and dirty. The aluminum foundation of one of the beds shrieked when sitting and laying. Stained sheets. The bathroom was abominable stained, tub no enamel in various parts, not inviting. Towels stank and were so thin, we couldn't use them. We arrived circa 11:30 pm and were out the door by 3:45 am because of the discomfort. Lady at the reception was very nice and gave us other room options, but same room conditions. Shuttle service ok. Room price excessive.
