When I booked the hotel I thought I was talking to the hotel to make my reservation I was actually talking to a 3rd party reservation scammer. She lied. First she told me that the pet fee was $20; it was $40. Hotel didn't care they charged the $40. Then reservation agent charged me a room rate of $158. When I told her that that was higher than I expected, she said it was because I was getting the last room. She pressured by asking "Do you want the room or not?" Feeling like I had no choice, I booked the room..hen I got to the hotel at 3:00 pm I was told by the desk clerk that they had plenty of rooms at a rate Of $111 per night. The reservation agent told me that my reservation was non cancellable. I didn't care about that because I was on the way to the hotel, I had no interest in cancelling. When I got my my receipt from "Reservation Services" I was dumbfounded to discover that I was charged I $15 fee for a cancellation "insurance". If this is truly Comfort that I am writing to, you need to do something about these scam artists that are exploiting your services. I don't think I will ever stay at a Tru Hotel again because of this bad experience.. BTW, the desk clerk called the manager upon my arrival and explained to her that I had been scammed. Manager would not even talk to me directly and told the desk clerk to tell me to take it up with the third party reservation scammer that stole my money. Never again will I stay at this hotel.
From walking in the door to be greeted by a wonderful check in clerk to the beautiful room, what a great hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We will definitely be back.
