We loved it. The character, upscale, location all great!
Had a great stay. The real gem of this hotel is the front desk staff. Humorous, helpful and patient. I handed one of them my cellphone because I couldn’t type directions fast enough to calmly navigate the train system to meet my friend at Mile 16 for the Chicago Marathon. Directions were perfect and I actually arrived early to cheer my friend on to the finish line. We ate at the hotel restaurant as well. Staff was very attentive. Traveling is about making connections and having new experiences. Being directly off The Magnificent Mile made it convenient for us to walk to many tourist attractions. Thank you Whitehall for a lovely stay.
Professional friendly staff, great location.
My 13 year old daughter and I wanted a reasonable place to stay in downtown Chicago that was safe and close to the beach. The Whitehall is in a great location. We walked to Oak Street beach multiple times and is much nicer than Ohio Street, in our opinion. We also walked many other places and had easy access to public transportation. The Whitehall offers an above average breakfast that was included with the room (with thick cut bacon—one of my favorites). It was perfect!
