The employee that checked us in was extremely pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was not close to where it advertised (Christiansburg). It was next to Radford! The check in was a nightmare. There was noone at the front desk. I waited and called out and checked around the laundry, etc. Finally, a maintenance man came down the hall but he had no idea where the desk clerk was. We both checked the office and cafeteria area with no luck. I would have left except the hotel had already charged me when I made the reservation. Finally, the desk clerk came in from outside somewhere. He checked me in with no additional problems. When moving into the room, my wife noticed that the door to the room had a crack between it and the doorframe that allowed anyone in the hallway to see into the room. We had to move to another room! The beds were very hard and uncomfortable and my wife and I both had backaches the next morning. My wife is a member of an artists association and tells me that the Virginia Watercolor Society has its annual show in Radford this summer. She said she would not recommend this hotel. In fact, she will make it a point to tell all the members to avoid this hotel at all costs.
Everything was nice and clean and cool.
Will book again when in the area.
Ice makers on all floors not working. Room refrigerator not working. 85 90 degree days. But it was clean and the BEST staff, warm, kind, attentive. I felt bad for them working in a hotel w/ multiple issues. They deserve better.
