Staff was rude. They expect five people in a room to share two towel and two wash cloths. Worse hotel I've ever been at.

So as I checked in I thought it was under my name.So I give her my I.d she said it wasn’t I told her to check again and she said it wasn’t.Then I gave her the reservation and she threw my I.d and said it’s not under your name stupid it’s under (DarnellJohnson) name.I went and got my fiancé and then she started to say tell her to close her mouth and then once again proceeded to pass him his I.d and said I’m not giving you a room cause she won’t close her mouth.Then she said oh speak to my manager we said give us the manager then she says o my manger is not here till tomorrow.So after all the back and fourth she gave us a nasty room with no refrigerator and it had holes in the sheets.Overall it was a very bad experience it was so bad we didn’t even leave at checkout time we left at 10am.

It was dirty the light in the bathroom didn’t work and the lady at the front desk was rude.

The only thing didn’t sit cool beans with me is the fact that I was not aware of having to pay $15 per night to park my car in their parking lot. But after a brief challenge with the very nice Jamaican hotel clerk whose name I forget she blessed me with no fee but I had to pay $10 for my fiancé car. Overall I was pleased and wen I need a hotel in Jersey as I traveled from South Carolina I will definitely go to the Howard Johnson.

Despite the location this was a nice few hours away from home and what I needed. Just didn't like I couldn't get the spa tub. That was the whole reason for coming.

For the price one is paying, I think it is a good place to stay in. The elevator wasn't working when I came here. Thankfully I didn't had much luggage with me. The room is old and the complimentary breakfast was decent to say the least. If you don't want to spend a lot of money then go for this place. Keep in mind that their are a lot of ghetto areas in Newark and this place is thankfully located in a safe zone.

In my 15 years of staying in hotels, I have never stayed at a hotel where the staff find it difficult to speak english in a country like America, where staff work out at guest for no reason. My stay was terrible to say the least, the Internet service was a shame at this age. Will never come back here again.
