Nothing like the Lodge at Waukulla Springs. Step back to old Florida. The hotel is gorgeous. Not new fancy but an old world charm fancy. Clean rooms. Great ice cream treats in the parlor. History is wonderful. Place where The Creature of the Lost Lagoon was filmed and Tarzan movies. Boat ride up the pristine river. A must go especially to unwind!

The Lodge has changed little since its opening in the 30’s and it is still charming! Dinner in the dining room was delicious and reasonably priced. The boat tour of the spring and river was mysterious and fascinating and a bargain at $8.00. Be sure to take it if you stay there.
