The hotel is old and outdated, water leaking from the ceiling in lobby, elevator is broken and has been for a long time according to other reviews, hallway carpets old and dirty, old mattress hurt my back, reserved room with refrigerator which was not working, old bathrooms need complete renovation,.

This hotel is very outdated. During our stay there was only one working elevator that could possibly fit five small ppl comfortably. On the 2nd day of our visit the elevator got stuck. The rooms smell of mildew and there is visible mildew on the ceilings and in the bathrooms. We found hair in our towels and under the bed spreads.

"Nothing Worked!"

Other than the staff and the location this was the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. The room smelled bad, the A/C made an awful noise, my bed had a huge dip in it and the TV didn’t work. That was just my room. The building suffers from severe neglect! One of the elevators is out of service as was the pool. The staff was nice but seemed overwhelmed and used to complaints. This was a terrible stay.

"Fix the doors so they close without having to pull them."

The room was clean and nice. No pool. I have never had an excellent experience at your hotel. The previous stays were at facilities that were being remodeled. The doors need to be fixed to close automatically ipo you having to pull them shut. Broken elevator long wait to get to room.

"1st room was already occupied, Shelpt the luggage rack back down to the Lobby. Got a very cool “ sor"

Schlept the rack up to a new room checking out the room and low and behold the A/C was making all kinds of noise this time I called down, put the phone up to the noise and asked if this was normal no it’s not she said she would send somebody up with a new key! So a gentleman came and he helped with the luggage rack and took us to another room. It was fine until I got in bed later and my roommate tells me to look up in the corner above my bed?? I cannot believe a Hotel would put someone in a room with torn and hanging ceiling tiles???? Come on gu. .. There was this nice lady that approached us and asked questions she could not believe that we got a room that was already being occupie!! I don’t know who or what her capacity was within the Hotel. I hope this will not happen to anyone else. This Survey was addressed to my cousin Patricia Somer and she forwarded it to me to answer. She’s 80 years old and deaf and fortunately her room was OK. She would not of been able to go through what my roommate and I went through. Oh and I just recalled one of those rooms Did not have a refrigerator! Just the hole where there should’ve been one???? she wasn’t even offered a reduced rate or a free room Shame.

"Very Pleasant and Comfortable Stay at La Quinta"

Our first time in this hotel and we were happily surprised by the warm welcome and our nice and comfortable room, a suite with bedroom and little salon. Very reasonable priced facility with a direct shuttle for Yale University. We keep a great memory of your hotel which we found by chance because the one we had to go for our Yale conferences was full. Breakfast was good and enjoyable. Thank you for your proficiency and your wonderful welcome which made us feel really at home. See you again soon for sure, for our next conferences in New Haven. Room #418.

"No service, not clean and very run down accommodations"

Two hours after request for extra blankets, I had to go to main desk to get them myself. Flat tire on luggage cart upon arrival and flat tire still there on departure. Called front desk for wake up call and no one answered; called main local phone number and got a recording to leave name and phone number. After 10 more minutes of calling front desk, someone finally answered. It took 20 minutes after the 6:30 start for breakfast before pancake and waffle mix was available. My wife was directed to a restroom near breakfast area and was unable to get out; she had to call me on her cell phone to get hotel assistance to extricate her from the restroom. In the future, we will be very reluctant to stay at at La Quinta unless you can provide appropriate compensation for this very unfortunate stay.
